Ghana’s Under-17 male team beat non-league side Golden Boot Academy 4-1 in a friendly on Wednesday.

The Black Starlets used the game to assess their readiness ahead of the final qualifying round for the 2013 African Under-17 Championship.

The Ghanaians will meet the winner of  the South Africa and Zambia tie for the final lap of qualifiers in November.

Head coach Paa Kwesi has been trimming the rough edges ahead of the crucial tie.

Twelve members of the team were dropped after they failed age test in June.

The 2013 African Under-17 Championship will be held in Morocco.
