Defender Owusu-Ansah Kontor sympathizes with the Kotoko family

Former Asante Kotoko youth player Owusu Ansah Kantor has expressed his commiserate toward the club following last Wednesday's fatal motor accident in Nkwakaw.

Ghana football was hit by the report that the Porcupine Warriors have been involved in a fatal motor accident while returning to Kumasi after their 1-0 loss to Inter Allies in week 22 of the Ghana Premier League.

Assistant Equipment Officer of the club, Kofi Asare was confirmed dead during the unfortunate accident.

And speaking to Kumasi-based Ahoto FM, the Greece-based defender, who played for Asante Kotoko during the tenure of Dr. K.K Sarpong before moving abroad expressed his grief at the unfortunate occurrence and urged the club to defeat the situation.

"I felt very sad when I read about this unfortunate event. It's not easy to overcome such ordeals. I pray that God will grant all involved the strength to thrive in the face of this adversity."

"This is the time the team needs the fans. I know the fans will surely be there for the team as they've always been."

He seized the opportunity to solidarise with the family of Thomas Asare, the logistics officer who lost his life in the accident. "my condolence to the bereaved family. May the good Lord strengthen them in these challenging moment. "
