Former Asante Kotoko defender Rahim Ayew has denied reports he is close to agreeing a deal with newly promoted Dreams FC.

Rahim, a former Zamalek and former Asante Kotoko defender only returned from Sweden last Sunday and has been training with Dreams FC.

The move has increased speculations that the former Asante Kotoko and former Zamalek man would sign a deal with Dreams ahead of the 2015/2016 league season.

But the 30-year-old defender says he is only training to keep his fitness as he eyes a move abroad.

“Well I have been training with Dreams FC that is true but the move is to keep myself in shape and not sign a contract,” Rahim told Ghana’s leading soccer portal GHANAsoccernet.com

“I know the coach so we spoke and agreed that I should train with them but that is the whole issue.

“I have clubs pending and I will make a move at the right time.”
