Ghana midfielder Gershon Koffie has terminated his contract with Swedish top-flight Hammarby IF after an unsuccessful spell, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively report.
The 26-year-old signed a three year contract in January 2017 but never settled in the Allsvenskan.
His struggles led him to re-join MLS side New England Revolution last and rejoined Stockholm-based side.
"I have discussed my situation with Hammarby and I suggested that this solution. It is with mutual respect we are going separate ways and I wish the best for Hammarby,'' Koffie told the club's official website.
''Hope that the team will do well and win the league.''
Hammarby Sporting Director Jesper Jansson said: "We would like to thank Gershon for this time.
''He ended up in a difficult place here, but has always his professionalism was 100% and he will be very proud of it. We wish him great luck in his continued football career.''
