Fiorentina coach on the verge of leaving

Just two games into the 2016/17 Serie A season, Fiorentina could be about to lose their coach Paulo Sousa.

La Viola lost 2-1 to Juventus on the opening day of the season but responded with a 1-0 victory over Chievo, however, coach Sousa could be on his way out of the club.

According to reports from Sport Mediaset, the 46-year-old has already left his home in Florence and is en route to Portugal after disagreements between him and the Italian club surrounding their transfer policy this summer.

It is also suggested that former Lazio boss Stefano Pioli could be drafted in as replacement, although he is technically still under contract at the Roman club until next June.

Once the international break ends and clubs return to domestic football, Fiorentina travel to Genoa on September 11.

Sousa would be the second coaching change to take place already this season, after Palermo parted ways with Davide Ballardini last week.
