Fiorentina forward will not move to Sampdoria

Giuseppe Rossi’s agent believes Sampdoria is an unlikely destination for his client as he seeks a move away from Fiorentina this month.

The forward has struggled for opportunities since returning from injury and is actively seeking a move elsewhere with Euro 2016 looming.

“I do not see Sampdoria as a real destination,” his agent told Sampdorianews.net.

“Mainly because Antonio Cassano is back in great shape, and from that point of view Samp have enough quality strikers.”

Reports have suggested that there is friction between Rossi and Fiorentina but his agent was quick to dispel such rumours.

“I read a lot of news on the issue that there is tension between Rossi and the club,” he added.

“But the reality is that the relations are excellent and they are all very serene.

“The club are determined to find the best possible solution for all parties.

“It is understandable that Fiorentina want to focus more on those players that are playing well this season, it is also understandable that Rossi feels the need to play more ahead of the summer.”
