Round 30 of the Serie A season produced a glut of goals, some unexpected scorelines and a record-breaking performance from Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon.
Napoli came from behind to beat Genoa 3-1 whilst Carpi continued to defy the odds and maintain their fight for survival by beating Hellas Verona, 2-1 away from home.
Nearer the top, Roma and Inter drew 1-1 dropping further behind leaders Juventus, who easily won 4-1 at Torino.

So Roma may still be one of the form sides in the league right now, but summer marquee signing Edin Dzeko continues to play like a striker who has never seen a football before. Expected to be the missing piece in the Giallorossi’s charge to the Championship, the big centre forward has only netted seven times in Serie A this season.
Luck is certainly not on his side either, as on Saturday against Inter he came close to scoring but for an ‘inadvertent’ arm of Nerazzurri defender Miranda which blocked his goal-bound header.
However, the rest of his play against the Milan giants left much to be desired as he blasted a great chance, from less than ten yards from goal, high over the bar. He also managed to block team mate Mohamed Salah’s effort which look destined for the net, a stop that any centre back would have been proud of.
Even his assist for Radja Nainngolan’s equaliser, came in , a shooting attempt which the Bosnian embarrassingly scuffed and bobbled its way into the path of the Belgian midfielder.
