Former Sports Minister Joseph Yamin believes Ghana FA vice president George Afriyie has the credentials to succeed his boss Kwesi Nyantakyi as president.
Afriyie announced his decision to contest for the top job in 2019 at his birthday bash last Friday.
''George Afriyie is a credible candidate as he possesses the qualities needed to run Ghana football,'' Yamin said on Asempa FM.
''I have some respect for George Afriyie, not only him, Kwesi Nyantakyi, as well having worked with both. So I think he is more than qualified to replace Kwasi [if he steps down].
''But I wouldn't stick my neck out for George until others announce their intentions too.''
