Reports claim Frimpong Manso has taken over as Asante Kotoko interim head coach.

According a publication by kickgh.com, the ex-Ghana defender has replaced Godwin Ablordey.

Manso has been hired on a temporary basis after the club sacked Croatian Zdravko Lugarusic last week.

The club announced the 57-year-old was going to play an advisory role but it looks like he has taken over.

Ablordey took charge of the team in their 1-0 defeat at Wa All Stars and failed to convince management.
