President of Techiman City FC Charles Kwadwo Ntim, popularly known as Micky Charles, has insisted that the Vice President of the Ghana Football Association, Fred Crentsil has been the Board Chairman of his club for the past two years.

His proclamation came after a section of the media questioned the eligibility of Fred Crentsil to contest for the executive committee position on the ticket of Techiman City FC.

Speaking to GHANAsoccernet.com Micky Charles said "Fred Crentsil is the board chairman of Techiman City FC since the day I purchased the club over two years ago."

"I have had several calls as to his position in the club and I confirmed to the Executive Committee yesterday that he is the Board Chairman of the club."

"These things are what we don't broadcast. It is only when issues of this nature arise that we clear the air. He has been with the club for more than the required two year that qualifies someone to contest for the position," he concluded.

Fred Crentsil contested and won the executive position on the ticket of Accra Hearts of Oak in 2011 and was since appointed the Vice President of the Ghana FA by re-elected President Kwesi Nyantakyi.

Techiman City FC are currently the league leaders in the Division One League in Zone 1.
