Ghana defender Jeffrey Schlupp grabbed his first goal in the English Premier League on Saturday after scoring the opener for Leicester City in their 2-2 stalemate against Burnley.
The Ghana international Schlupp put the Foxes ahead with a right-foot finish after Mahrez's low cross in his first season in the English top-flight.
The Black Stars full-back applied a clinical finishing touch to a Mahrez low cross from the byline in the 33rd minute to put Nigel Pearson's men ahead at the King Power Stadium.
Schlupp, who is in the Ghana squad for next week's 2015 AFCON qualifying back-to-back tie against Guinea, reclaimed his starting spot in the Foxes team.
The Germany-born utility player proved his worth by netting the opener to inspire his side.
After Schlupp's opener, Michael Kightly pulled even for Burnley but jubilations could not last for the visitors as Mahres registered the second goal, brilliantly heading the ball past Heaton - the Burnley keeper.
As the tie worn on, the 22-year-old's lighting pace became unbearable for the Burnley defence and they resulted to fouling him to keep him down. One of such fouls, in the 54th minute, fetched a booking for Arfield.
He was booked in the 77th minutes for a bad foul on a Burnley midfielder.
Burnley equalised at the death to earn a point from the game.
Schlupp is expected to join the Black Stars camp in the Moroccan city of Casablanca on Sunday ahead their match against Ebola-hit Guinea next week.
