Ghana striker Abdul Majeed Waris has hailed Lorient's 2-0 handsome win over Caen in the French Ligue 1 on Wednesday night. 

The 24-year-old scored in the 36th minute as Lorient made it three wins out of three after wins against Angers and AS Monaco on a trot.

Waris, who inspired the Oranges in the win against AS Monaco, got his name on the score-sheet for the second time this season after scoring in the Angers win.

Wednesday night's results has propelled Lorient to 9th on the league table and are just two points within a top-four spot.

The former Swedish Allsvenskan Golden Shoe award winner is thrilled with his scoring performance hailed his team-mates after the win.

"[It was a Great win and I'm happy to score again today. The team have now scored 8 goals in 3 games.Thanks to the fans. We are flying high]," he tweeted after the game.

His scoring form is expected to come good for Ghana during the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
