Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari believes AC Milan can qualify for Europe next season to serve enough retribution for their disappointing campaign.
The Rossoneri have endured an utterly torrid campaign this term which saw manager Massimiliano Allegri replaced by Clarence Seedorf.
Milan’s hopes of playing in the Europa League were however revived in their 1-0 win over Inter in the big derby game played on Sunday.
The seven-time Champions League winners are now just three points an Europa League spot.
And their Ghanaian enforcer is willing the side to chalk that achievement with two games left to go.
“Playing in the Europa League looks likely at this point and we deserve to go though our direct competitors have done and are having a great result,” Muntari said.
“Milan has to go to Europe. Next year we will.”
