Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has omitted Ayew brothers Andre and Jordan from his 23-man squad to face Egypt next month in the final Russia 2018 World Cup qualifier but Deportivo Alaves ace Mubarak Wakaso makes a return.

The duo have been in top form for the English Premier League clubs with Andre getting two goals in two matches for Swansea.

Appiah has decided to retain the squad which impressed against Uganda and Saudi Arabia early this month.

The former Ghana captain has maintained 90 percent of the players who were assembled for this month double assignments against Uganda and Saudi Arabia.

He has reward midfielder Mubarak Wakaso for his recent decent form for Spanish La Liga side Deportivo Alaves.

Skipper Asamoah Gyan returns to the side after missing the team's last two matches through injury.

Norway-based Edwin Gyasi has been recalled after debuting in the 5-1 drubbing of Congo in Brazzaville.

Atletico Madrid star Thomas Partey has been left out of the squad due to suspension after accumulating two yellow cards against Congo and Uganda.

The Black Stars will face the Pharaohs in Cape Coast on November 12, 2017, in a match which Kwesi Appiah is expected to use to further assess the development of the team, as Egypt have already secured the sole ticket to Russia from the group.
