Ghana defender Gideon Baah could make his Red Bull debut over the weekend after  Coach Marsch disclosed that his level of fitness is perfect for the MLS side.

The 24-year-old who joined the MLS side earlier this month has been out of competition for a while after the Finish league went into a break.

Baah has not played active football since 18 October 2015 when he last featured for HJK Helsinki in a 4-0 Finnish League victory over Mareihamn.

But according to the head coach of Red Bull, the former Asante Kotoko left back can make his debut over the weekend.

“He’s had some games, but he hasn’t had a full 90 minutes in a couple of weeks. His team’s been training for a month after the Christmas break, so he’s fit,” Coach Marsch told New York Red Bulls official website.

“I thought he had a very good first day; very easy on the ball, very confident. And it wasn’t an easy first day with what we did in training. We made things very fast and chaotic, but it was a good first day for him to see how we do things. Overall, I think he fit in very well and showed all his qualities.”
