Goalkeeper Daniel Agyei bides his time after AFCON No-show

Goalkeeper Daniel Agyei says he is patiently waiting in the wings for his time to come after warming the bench at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

The 22-year-old has made Ghana's squad for the last three editions of the Nations Cup but he is yet to make his debut.

The Liberty Professionals shot stopper was a member of the silver-medal winning team in Angola 2010.

He also was down the pecking order in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea and at the just concluded finals in South Africa.

The 2009 FIFA U20 World Cup winner is not disappointed his Black Stars quest has delayed.

"I don't have any difficulty. When the time comes I will keep for the Black Stars," Agyei said.

"We are all goalkeepers. It depends on the coaches, when they call me to keep the post, I will take that opportunity.

"I am not the number, two or three. I am only trying my best to become Black Stars goalkeeper."

Agyei is expected to be named in Ghana's squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Sudan on March 24.
