Inter Allies midfielder Gockel Ahortor has been named the club’s Players’ Player of the season.
The clubs first team stars voted for the free-kick expert who enchanted fans with his techniques.
Ahortor scored a career best 7 goals in a season where interestingly 5 of them came from direct free kicks – second best in the league.
''It’s good to be voted for by your teammates for this accolade but I think it’s for us all, as we did it together – because it’s a total team effort,” he told the club website.
''It was a difficult season for the team but we managed to come safe at the very end, that shows how tough we can be as a team sometimes.''
He made 24 appearances and played a very vital role for the ‘Eleven Is To One’ in this season’s tough campaign and had a call-up to the Black Stars B for a friendly in Japan earlier this year.
