Hearts CEO hits out at 'vicious' media

Hearts of Oak Chief Executive Fred Crentsil feels there is a deliberate media agenda to run his administration down. Â

Crentsil has not entirely won the fans over since his appointment following the club's unconvincing display in the Ghana Premier League this season.

Hearts recorded their second win in the second round under new boss C.K Akunnor with a hard-fought 1-0 win at Aduana Stars on Sunday.

Crentsil has expressed his desire to make the former African Champions find their feet whilst promising massive transformation.

He is worried about a perceived media agenda to mock his effort while making disparaging comments about the club's form.

"I feel very hurt because there are certain radio stations whose work is to simply undermine my administration without any provocation," Crentsil told Accra-based Happy FM

"They just run you down for no apparent reason and that for me is shocking.

"It has become an agenda of some of these media houses to tarnish the image of Hearts of Oak and I feel very appalled.

"What is my crime and what have I done to warrant such unwarranted attacks on my person and the club. We are putting things in place to ensure that we rediscover our form.

"But the culture of attacking some of us unjustifiably and ridiculing the players is unfortunate. It doesn’t motivate players."

Hearts have been under fire from the media over their recent performances in the Ghana Premier League.
