Hearts have earmarked Ebusua Dwarfs defender Prince Atinga as Nuru Sulley’s replacement.

The capital-based side are in the market scouring for strong centre-back following the departure of Sulley to Libyan side Al Ittihad.

Liberty Professionals defender Alfred Nelson is believed to be close to joining the club but media reports in Ghana have claimed coach Herbert Addo prefers to sign Atinga.

The former Unisar FC player has applied for floating status, which make his switch to Accra easy as compared to the financial demands from Liberty for Nelson.

“I can tell you on authority that Herbert Addo has personally made the approach to Prince Atinga,” a source is quoted by sportscrusader.com

“He wants him to replace Nuru in centre back. Atinga is also willing to join Hearts but he wants to do that after he has been granted his floating status today.”

Hearts want to assemble the best side to challenge for the Premier League crown after they lost goalkeeper Eric Antwi to rivals Asante Kotoko.
