Hearts new signing Sampson Cudjoe has applauded coach David Duncan for his move to the capital-based side.

The 25-year-old midfielder finally joined Hearts on a three-year deal from Medeama after months of negotiations.

Cudjoe, who played under coach David Duncan at Ashantigold two-years ago, has paid glowing tribute to the man for his move to the club.

“I feel that ever player has the desire to work with a Coach he enjoys playing for. Duncan and I had a solid partnership during my days at AshantiGold and he is one of the reasons why I opted to join Hearts of Oak.” Cudjoe told Radio XYZ

“Hearts is one of the biggest clubs on the continent and playing for them is a big privilege.

“Coach Duncan spoke to me about this move and I was more than happy to take it because I knew that with him around my career will blossom. I know there will be pressure from the fans but I am here to impress and leave a mark in the minds of the supporters”.

Cudjoe becomes the club’s fourth ‘big name’ signing following the capture of Amidaus duo Selasi Adjei and Emmanuel Hayford as well as utility defender Kweku Andoh from Berekum Chelsea.
