Strikers John Antwi, Johnathan Opoku Agyemang and Mahatma Otoo shared five goals among them in separate leagues across two continents.

ENGLAND

Andre Ayew put up another sterling performance for Swansea City as he hit the crossbar in Swansea City's 1-1 draw at Sunderland on Saturday.

Injured Thomas Partey was left out of the Atletico Madrid squad for their slim 1-0 win over Las Palmas.

Spanish-born attacker of Ghanaian descent Inaki Dannis Williams missed Athletic Bilbao's 1-0 loss against Barcelona on Sunday afternoon.

Ghana goalkeeper Razak Braimah manned the post for Cordoba who beat Real Valladolid 1-0.

Fatau Mohammed played 75 minutes for Almeria who recorded a 3-2 win over Leganese on Sunday.

Ghana youth midfielder Clifford Aboagye scored the second goal for Granada B when they drew 3-3 with San Roque de Lepe.

GERMANY

German-born Ghanaian youngster Gideon Jung was in superb shape for Hamburg SV who fought twice from behind to beat VfL Stuttgart 3-2 on Saturday.

Defender Daniel Opare missed Augsburg's 1-1 stalemate at Eintracht Frankfurt with injury.

In the Bundesliga II, Joseph Baffo was rock solid in defence for Eintracht Braunschweig who posted a 2-0 away victory over Arminia Bielefeld. Philemon Ofosu-Aryeh missed the game with suspension.

Elsewhere in the third-tier league, Reagy Ofosu scored a 14th minute opener for Chemnitzer FC when they posted a 4-2 win over Holstein Kiel. Former Borussia Dortmund B midfielder Evans Owusu Nyarko sat on the bench for Holstein Kiel.

In other games, attacker Prince Osei-Owusu,18, was introduced in the 63rd minute Stuttgart II who lost 2-1 against Erzgebirge Aue.

FRANCE

Injured Majeed Waris watched Lorient's 1-0 home loss to Saint-Etienne from the stands.

Meanwhile Manchester City loanee Yaw Yeboah could not gatecrash the Lille squad for their 0-0 draw with Bordeaux on Sunday.

French-born defender Dennis Appiah excelled for Caen despite a 2-1 loss at OG Nice.

In the Ligue 2, Emmanuel Ntim could not make the Valenciennes squad for their 1-1 drawn game with Bourg-Péronnas.

NETHERLANDS

German-born Ghanaian defender Marcel Appiah played 72 minutes for NEC Nijmegen who succumbed to a 2-0 home loss against giants Ajax Amsterdam. The 27-year-old's red card from last weekend was reversed.

Dutch-born Derrick Luckassen was introduced in the 71st minute by AZ Alkmaar when they drew 0-0 with Willem II. Ghana U23 attacker Raymond Gyasi could not make the AZ squad for the game.

Elvis Manu was not in the Feyenoord Rotterdam team that posted a 2-0 win over Vitesse Arnhem on Sunday.

Dutch-born youngster Rodney Antwi was not in the FC Utrecht team when they drew 1-1 at ADO Den Haag.

Shadrach Eghan warmed the FC Twente bench in their 2-1 away loss at PEC Zwolle. Manchester City loanee Thomas Agyepong missed the game with injury.

Winger Edwin Gyasi, 24, played 76 minutes for Roda JC and inspired them to a 1-0 win over De Graafschap on Saturday.

Elsewhere in the second-tier league, striker Johnathan Opoku Agyemang scored a brace for VVV Venlo and played 85 minutes as they posted a 5-1 win over PSV II.

In other games, NAC Breda recorded their first win of the campaign after consigning Ajax II to a 3-0 defeat. Manchester City loanee Divine Naah played 81 minutes while Dutch-born pair Elton Acolatse and Leeroy Owusu were in action for Ajax II.

18-year-old defender Randy Ababio sat on the bench for leaders Volendam who posted a 3-1 win over Dordrecht.

ITALY

Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu played 52 minutes for Udinese who surprised themselves with a 1-0 victory over Scudetto holders Juventus at the Juventus Arena on Sunday. Kwadwo Asamoah missed the game with injury.

Alfred Duncan played 90 minutes and helped Sassuolo to a crucial 2-1 win over Napoli in the opening day of the season.

Midfielder Afriyie Acquah came off the Torino bench in the 79th minute to play for Torino who rallied from a goal down to beat new-comers Frosinone 2-1. On the Frosinone bench was Ghana midfielder Raman Chibsah.

Richmond Boakye-Yiadom was unused by Atalanta who lost 1-0 at Inter Milan.

Swedish international of Ghanaian descent Robin Quaison played full throttle for Palermo who beat Genoa 1-0.

BELGIUM

Defender Nana Akwasi Asare played the entire minutes of the game for title-holders KAA Gent who drew 0-0 with Kortrijk on Sunday.

Anderlecht managed a slim 1-0 win over Lokeren. Ghana winger Frank Acheampong and former Liberty Professionals starlet Eugene Ansah were both introduced in the second-half of the game for Anderlecht and Lokeren respectively.

There was no Benjamin Tetteh in the Standard Liege squad as they suffered a 2-1 loss against KV Oostende.

Dutch-born defender Mitch Apau put up an impressive showing in defence for Westerlo who sneaked out of teh Stade du Pays de Charleroi with a point after drawing 0-0 with Sporting Charleroi.

Samuel Asamoah played 61 minutes for OH Leuven who lost 2-1 at KV Mechelen.

In the Belgian Cup, FC Antwerp recorded a 2-1 win over RFC Seraing. Striker Kwame Nsor played 65 minutes while William Owusu Acheampong came off the Antwerp bench in the 81st minute.

SCOTLAND

Midfielder Prince Buaben played through injury and lasted 73 minutes for Heart of Midlothian, helping them to thrash Partick Thistle 3-0. English-born Ghanaian midfielder Abdul Osman was introduced in the 63rd minute to play for Thistle.

NORWAY

Winger Ernest Asante provided his 7th assist of the season after setting up Ivorian-born Norwegian international Diomande in Stabaek's 4-2 win over Sandefjord on Saturday. Kamal Issah missed the game with injury.

Manchester City loanee Bismark Adjei-Boateng replaced the injured Petter Vaagan Moen in the 27th minute and helped Stromsgodset to manage a 2-1 win over IK Start.

Former Hearts of Oak attacker Mahatma Otoo scored a brace for Sogndal IF who condemned Baerum to a 5-0 defeat in the Norwegian second-tier league on Sunday.

Former Ghana U17 captain Paul Addo was in full time action for FK Bryne when they drew 0-0 with Asane on Sunday.

DENMARK

Versatile Ghana defender Daniel Amartey was not in the FC Copenhagen squad when they drew 2-2 with AGF on Sunday as he inches closer to joining Leicester City.

Ghana youth star Nasiru Mohammed was voted man of the match as he inspired BK Hacken to a memorable 1-0 win over Malmo FF. His Ghanaian compatriot Mohammed Abubakari played 90 minutes for Hacken while Enock Adu Kofi was replaced by Malmo late into the tie.

Gefle IF succumbed to a 2-1 home loss to AIK Solna. Former Heart of Lions midfielder Kwame Bonsu was taken off in the 91st minute while defender Ebenezer Ofori played the entire minutes of the game for Solna.

Injured King Osei Gyan missed Halmstad BK's 2-2 draw with Orebro. Defender Sam Mensah also missed the game with injury.

SWITZERLAND

FC Sion suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Young Boys Bern as the two sides clashed in the Super League. Former Ghana U20 attacker Ebenezer Assifuah came off the bench to play the last 7 minutes for Sion while Samuel Afum was unused by Young Boys.

TURKEY

Black Stars defender John Boye was an unused substitute for Sivasspor in defeat as Jerry Akaminko's Eskisehirspor hammered them 4-2 on Sunday. The injured Akaminko watched the game from the stands.

In the second-tier league, former Ghana U20 and Tema Youth defender Joseph Attamah scored the third goal for Adana Demirspor as they held Samsunspor to a 3-3 draw on Sunday.

AUSTRIA

Neither Reinhold Yabo nor David Atanga was in the Red Bull Salzburg side that drew 2-2 with Austria Wien on Sunday.

Ghana youth pair Ralph Dwamena and Lawrence Ati-Zigi were both in action for Liefering who lost 1-0 against Wiener Neustadt.

USA

LA Galaxy recorded a big 5-1 victory over New York City FC at the Stubhub Center in California. American-born Ghanaian Gyasi Zardes scored the opening goal for LA while Ghana-born midfielder Kwadwo Poku played the entire minutes of the game for New York City FC.

Gershon Koffie helped Vancouver Whitecaps to go second on the Western Conference table after beating FC Dallas 1-0. He played the entire minutes of the game.

David Accam and Patrick Nyarko were both starters for Chicago Fire who slipped to a narrow 1-0 home loss against Colorado Rapids. Nyarko was subbed in the 73rd minute.

Dominic Oduro played full-time for Montreal Impact and was booked in the 92nd as they slipped to a 1-0 home loss at the hands of Philadelphia Union.

Black Stars defender Harrison Afful played 70 minutes for Columbus Crew who managed to edge Sporting Kansas City 3-2.

Goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey manned the post for a ten-man Portland Timbers who drew 2-2 with visiting Houston Dynamo.

SAUDI ARABIA

Sulley Muntari marked his debut for Al Ittihad Jeddah by playing full throttle in their 2-1 win over Najran.

CAF COMPETITION

Ghanaian quartet of Solomon Asante, Daniel Nii Adjei, Yaw Frimpong and Richard Kissi Boateng all played for TP Mazembe who lost 1-0 at Sudanese side Al Hilal.

Former Hearts of Oak striker John Antwi scored a 6th minute opener for Al Ahly as they beat Esperance de Tunis 1-0 on Saturday. Antwi picked an injury in the 73rd minute.

In the Champions League Francis Coffie came off the Al Merreikh bench in the 46th minute to play in their 3-2 win over MC El Eulma on Saturday. Striker Augustine Okrah was not in the Al Merreikh squad for the game. Coffie assisted Merreikh's opening goal.

CROATIA

Former Ghana U20 defender Jeremiah Akorful was not in the Hajduk Split team when they beat Osijek.

CYPRUS

Former Manchester City defender Razak Nuhu impressed in defence for Anorthosis Famagusta who beat AEL Limassol 2-0. Midfielder Carlos Ohene played 82 minutes for AEL. John Arwuah was not in the AEL squad for the game.

Mustapha Quanyor played the entire game for Ermis who were beaten 5-1 by APOEL.

CZECH REPUBLIC

Former Liberty Professionals midfielder Isaac Sackey and Dutch-born Ghanaian Kevin Luckassen all started for Slovan Liberec who beat Teplice 2-0.

Francis Narh was in full time action for Banik Ostrava who lost 3-1 against Slavia Praha. Midfielder Derrick Mensah missed the game with injury.

FINLAND

Forward Seth Paintsil warmed the bench for Jaro who were held to a 0-0 draw Inter Turku.

GREECE

Abdul Razak Isa was not on the Kaloni team that lost 1-0 against Iraklis.

Eric Warden was not in the Levidiakos team that lost 1-0 against Atromitos.
