INTER - De Boer close to be sacked, Vecchi to be interim manager

Published on: 01 November 2016

Despite being in Appiano Gentile to take charge of the training this morning Frank de Boer is really close to be sacked.

Inter directors didn't like the awful form of the last month, with five defeats in seven games in all the competitions, and the latest one against Sampdoria was the classic straw that hit the camel back.

Inter are travelling to Southampton tomorrow for an important Europa League clash and it's possible that the current U21 coach, Stefano Vecchi, will be in charge should De Boer be sacked today.

Ex Lazio manager Stefano Pioli, instead, is really likely to be appointed as the new coach until next June.
