Isaac Cofie captained Genoa for the first time in the 1-0 defeat at Benevento on Saturday in the Serie A.
The former Ghana midfielder is one of the longest service players of the current set-up.
Cofie has been in the books of the Grifone since 2008 but has had loan spells at various clubs including Torino, Sassuolo, Piacenza, Chievo and Carpi.
He lasted the entire as they home away but Genoa have already secured mid-table safety.
Cofie has made 12 Serie A appearances for Genoa so far this season.
