Coach JE Sarpong has confirmed his departure from Ghana Premier League side Liberty Professionals and insists he has no qualms with his dismissal.

The former Hearts of Oak trainer was shockingly shown the exit after he guided the side to place 8th  last season.

Officials of the capital-based side claim their current financial situation accounted for their decision to part ways with the veteran tactician.

He says  he is disappointed with his departure from the club.

“The Chairman called me and informed me that they were facing financial difficulties and so wanted me to leave,” Sarpong told GHANAsoccernet.com

“I was not in Ghana when the late Sly Tetteh called me to come and help. The team was lying 14th on the table and we tried our best to place 8th.

“This year we put up some decent performances in the second round and managed to place 8th again. So I am really disappointed at the way things have gone. I am not bitter but I am sad.”
