Ghana forward Jordan Ayew will be hoping to find his rhythm and fire troubled Aston Villa to victory over Watford in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

The 23-year-old forward is likely to command a starting role in Remi Garde's side as striker Gabriel Agbonlahor could miss a third straight game because of a calf injury.

Villa's strong home record against Watford is expected to guide them to victory over the Hornets. Aston Villa have never lost at home to Watford in the top division (W5, D2). Villa's sole home defeat in this fixture came in the old Second Division in December 1969 - BBC Sports.

While Watford failed to score in any of the previous four Premier League meetings between the clubs, losing three games and drawing the other - BBC Sports.

Jordan's performance is expected to be key for Villa if they are to avert a case of equalling their own bad record.

Villa have gone 12 league games without a victory (D2, L10) and could equal the club record of 13 consecutive winless matches, set from March to September 2012 - BBC Sports.

Jordan has scored two (2) Premier League goals since his arrival from Lorient in the summer and will be hoping to find the back of the net against Watford.
