JUVENTUS, Dani Alves introduces himself: \"It was time to leave Barça. Bianconeri are THE icon of Italian football\"

Published on: 28 June 2016

Attending his first press conference as Juventus player, 33 years old Brazilian star Dani Alves stated:

"I chose 23 as my number, same one as LeBron James'. He's a sport player who doesn't rest on his own laurels, and succeeded in reinventing himself after his experience in Miami. My love for music? I'll try to spread my love for music and dancing towards my teammates and neighbors. I've already found a place that will be my second home.

Juventus is a club willing to change and improve, and that's why I chose them as my new team. Outside Italy, Juventus is the icon of Italian football, and that's an experience any footballer would love to achieve. I thank Juventus for having chosen me, and I know we'll have a lot of fun here. Allegri? I've already talked to him, but not about what he expects from me in details.

Pogba? Unless something unexpected happens, we'll be teammates, and that's really exciting. Dybala asking me to help him scoring? I'll be helping everyone of my teammates, and I want to make my best to score myself too. Mascherano? I'm a fan of his, and having him join Juventus would be awesome.

I understood it was time to leave Barça because I realized there was something wrong there, between the club and me. I lived a lot of exciting moments there, but there are times in life you need to be brave and change. I was an average and a rather insignificant player when I started my Blaugrana experience, and thanks to Barça I succeeded in getting my name written in the history of football".
