Asante Kotoko defender Eric Donkor says he is impressed with the quality displayed by the new signings in training.

The dethroned Premier League champions have made a number of signings this off-season in their bid to boost the side with quality materials to mount a staunch challenge next term.

Players such as Ernest Sowah, Evans Quao, Bennet Ofori, Samuel Kyere and Kwame Boateng have all been signed by Kotoko’s management.

And their quality has already begun to show in training according to defender Eric Donkor who is excited by the improved strength of the side.

“They are all arriving as big name players and their quality shows in training,” he told Happy FM.

“They are very good players and it has intensified competition for positions in the team.

“We trust David Duncan to mould a solid team from these individual players.”

The new-look Kotoko team will be put on display for the first time when they take on rivals AshantGold on Sunday in the SWAG Cup match.
