Manuel Lanzini feels wanted and will stay at West Ham - boss Slaven Bilic

Slaven Bilic was highly critical of West Ham's performance against Man United, citing their own mistakes as their downfall.

West Ham manager Slaven Bilic has said he is not concerned about reports that playmaker Manuel Lanzini could leave the club before the end of the transfer window.

Argentina international Lanzini is on a long-term contract with the East London club but has been linked with a move to Liverpool if Philippe Coutinho ends up joining Barcelona.

But Bilic, speaking at a news conference ahead of his side's Premier League game at home to Southampton on Saturday, said: "No, I am not worried. I got it from the papers, that's it.

"But I said it last week when we spoke about it before Man Utd game. I speak to Manu every day and he is very happy. He really feels at home here, he feels wanted."

He said Lanzini was "smiling, he is happy," adding: "He broke into the Argentina team, he got a callup for the September games so he knows that if he plays for West Ham he has a chance to improve, sign a better contract with West Ham and play for Argentina. He is very happy."

Bilic said he did not want to put a hypothetical price tag on Lanzini and added: "I am sure he is going to stay with us.

"He was voted players player of the year, which is a good thing, and he feels wanted at the place. He likes it here."
