Marseille confirm injuries of Ayew brothers

French side Olympique Marseille have confirmed the injuries of Ghana duo Andre and Jordan Ayew clearing doubts about their pull-outs for the international friendly against Chile. 

The Ghana Football Association has confirmed the Ligue 1 campaigners provided medical reports on the brothers.

Jordan is reported to have picked a muscle injury and his elder brother battling a shoulder injury which was aggravated at the just ended Africa Cup of Nations.

Andre has been replaced by Patrick Nyarko who plays for Major League Soccer side Chicago Fire.

Sweden-based striker Abdul Majeed Waris earned a late call-up to step in for Jordan.
