Press in Cape Coast to boycott Dwarfs matches after beatings

Journalists in Cape-Coast are threatening to boycott matches of Ebusua Dwarfs after being beaten up by fans on Sunday.

Media men at the Robert Mensah Stadium were physically assaulted by riotous fans as an attempt to prevent them from reporting on attacks on referee Patrick Kyeremanteng.

Some lost personal properties and suffered severe injuries as a result of the attack.

They had to flee for their lives after the final whistle and are considering a black-out on their home matches.

"I have lost lots of things following the attack. My phones, pen drives, recorders and phones following the attack after yesterday's game," Nana Asanka of locally-based Eagle FM reported.

"We will boycott Dwarfs activities following this attack. We are in danger."
