On-loan Asante Kotoko defender at Al Hilal Abeiku Ainooson has tipped his parent club to respond against Medeama this weekend.

The Porcupine Warriors succumbed to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of WAFA in match day one of the Ghana Premier League.

The defeat was a huge surprise given the form of Asante Kotoko in preseason and the marquee signings they made in the transfer window.

They however have had time to recover after having their second game against AshGold postponed due to the Miners continental commitment.

They will now take on Medeama this weekend and Abeiku Ainooson says he expects them to respond.

“I think that this is perfect opportunity for Kotoko to respond giving that they will be playing at home,” Ainooson told GHANAsoccernet.com

“Sometimes things don’t go as plan but the thing about football is that you have an opportunity to respond.”
