Tetteh targets 2013 AFCON with Rwanda

Rwanda's Ghanaian head coach Sellas Tetteh says he is already planning ahead for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations after missing out on next year's finals.

The Amavubis 2012 dreams went up in the smoke when they suffered a 3-1 defeat to Burundi last month.

Tetteh has now turned his attention to the 2013 qualifiers which will be the first to be played in an odd year.

''It was recently decided that teams that fail to qualify for CAN 2012 will take part in the first qualifying round of the 2013 Africa Nations Cup in January,'' the former Black Stars deputy coach told the New Times.

"Teams that will compete at the 2012 CAN automatically progress to the second round."

The 55-year-old has struggled to impress since taking charge of Rwanda in 2010.
