The President of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi has reiterated that his outfit does not deal directly with the government when it comes to monetary issues.

He added that the only relationship his outfit has with the government of Ghana is just about the management of national teams.

His comment came after a section of the media reported a sour relationship between the two bodies with special reference to the Black Stars winning bonus.

According to the Ghana FA President, Kwesi Nyantakyi his outfit's relationship with the government is just about the management of the national teams adding they don’t take money from government.

“The GFA's relationship with government is just about the management of national teams. People taught the government does give us money and we embezzled those monies," he noted.

“The truth is we don’t take money from the government and the only money the government invest in football are monies for the national teams. Those monies are paid directly to the national teams."

“If we tell the government we are moving to Kumasi and want money for our air flight to transport the players to Kumasi they will pay all the money to the travel agent to organize the trip and not to the GFA."

"If the Sports Ministry releases those monies, they don’t pass through the FA‘s account. In terms of players bonuses the ministry pays it directly to the players,” he added.
