Turkish giants Galatasaray have offered Marseille forward Andre Ayew a deal worth €2.5 million per-season according to the Hürriyet newspaper.

The Lions were reported to have signed Goran Pandev instead of Ayew last sumemr according to football agent Mithat Halis.

“Napoli offered Marseille €4 million and Pandev for Andre Ayew,” Halis told Radyospor.

“Marseille rejected the offer as they felt that Pandev was over the hill.

“Ayew had one year left on his contract, he would usually have gone for €15 million but because of the situation with his contract he could have been signed for €5-6 million.

“Galatasaray were in the race to sign him and I advised them to target him but they went for Pandev instead.”

Pandev failed to settle in and the Macedonian international has been transfer listed.

The Lions would be able to sign Ayew on a free transfer as his contract is set to run out at the end of the month.

The Istanbul giants could face competition from West Ham who have also made the Ghanian international an offer according to Goal.

Ayew starred for Ghana during the 2014 World Cup, scoring twice in the Group Stage.

The 24-year-old striker scored 11 goals and made six assists in 30 appearances for Marseille this season.
