Zamalek will host Berekum Chelsea in the penultimate Champions League match on Saturday at the Military Stadium in Cairo.

The venue’s confirmation was made following the intervention of Egyptian Prime Minister Hisham Qandil following the Stadium Management’s initial decision not to host the game.

According to officials of the stadium management, planned renovation works makes it possible to hold the game but it has reversed its decision after it was pressed upon by the Prime Minister.

Zamalek will now play Chelsea at the big stadium where three thousand supporters will be allowed in following a granted permission earlier on by Egypt’s Interior Minister.

The dethroned Ghana Premier League champions need to win the game to ensure they are still in the contest to make the last four by the time they host TP Mazembe in the final group game.
