2022 World Cup Qualifiers: Jordan Ayew scores as Black Stars see off lower-tier Golden Kicks in test match

Black Stars thrashed lower-tier side Golden Kicks FC during a test match on Monday at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Ghana national team on Monday began their preparations for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopia and South Africa this week.

Richmond Boakye-Yiadom scored twice as the Black Stars went into the break with a 2-1 scoreline after coming from behind.

Two stunning goals from Jordan Ayew and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku and spot kick by Caleb Ekuban in the second half sealed the victory over the newly-promoted Division One side.

Black Stars will jet off to Johannesburg, South Africa on Tuesday for the penultimate game against Ethiopia at the Orlando Stadium on Thursday 11 November.

Ghana will face South Africa in the last qualifying match at the Cape Coast on Sunday 14 November.

The group winner book a ticket to the play-off round of the qualifications which is scheduled for March 2022.

The Black Stars are currently sitting at 2nd place on the Group G standings with 9 points, one adrift of the leaders South Africa after 4 rounds of matches.
