Andre Ayew scores on 29th birthday as Fenerbache were held by Erzurumspor in Turkey

Deputy Black Stars captain Andre Ayew celebrated his 29th birthday by scoring on his return from injury as Fenerbahçe let a two goal lead slip to draw 2-2 with Erzurumspor in the Turkish Super Lig on Monday night. 

Ayew, who was returning from injury started the game and opened the scoring for the host in the 18th minute with a fine header.

Former Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel added the second goal on 27 minutes before Erzurumspor pulled one back through Emrah Bassan in the second half.

Lennart Thy stunned the home side with a neat finish to secure a point for Erzurumspor.

The Ghana international was scoring his fourth topflight goal in 14 appearances involving 14 starts since completing a loan move from English side Swansea City in the summer.

The draw sees Fenerbahçe remain in the relegation zone.
