It has emerged that Ayew brothers Rahim, Andre and Jordan chartered a flight from Accra to Kumasi to support his father's second-tier side qualify to final of the MTN FA Cup.

Nania FC caused an upset by eliminating new Ghana Premier League Berekum Chelsea 5-3 on penalties with both teams tied 2-2 after extra-time.

The trio, former players of Nania FC, were at the Baba Yara Stadium to motivate the club for a historic berth.

They were originally billed to travel on a commercial flight but the Antrack cancelled the departure which resulted in them chartering the flight.

"I am so happy that they all came to watch the game which they promised to do," Abedi Pele who coached the side told Citi FM.

"They were really determined to see this semi-final because they knew that it was history in the making and they had to be part of it.

He added that: "On their way coming from Accra, Antrak was cancelled around One O’clock so they had to find their way to Kumasi and they had to charter a jet to Kumasi to attend this particular match.

"I embrace that decision and I thank them very much for being in Kumasi to support the (Nania) boys."

Nania FC will play the winner of the semi-final match between Asante Kotoko and either Medeama SC or Sporting Mirren in the final.
