West Ham United have agreed to allow Andre Ayew to return to Olympique Marseille temporarily for further treatment on his thigh injury.
Ayew, a club record £20.5 million signing, has been in the infirmary since last month at Chelsea in their league opener.
The Ghana international requested to be treated in familiar surroundings.
Ayew, 26, is said to have drawn a large crowd this afternoon when attending Marseille's training centre.
Last week, he started low runs at West Ham United’s training ground.
