New Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is expected to make a January swoop for Swansea City star Andre Ayew as the German gaffer has been a long-standing admirer of the Ghana vice captain.

Klopp is a keen admirer of the 25-year-old and tried to sign him twice when he was in charge of Borussia Dortmund.

Ayew has made no secret of his affection for Liverpool and has said he supported the Anfield giants during his boyhood days.

Klopp failed to lure Ghana international Ayew to Germany, but he could move for him again at Liverpool.

The German gaffer failed to lure Ayew both of his attempts at Dortmund and Swansea bigwigs are convinced the promising manager will try for a third time after taking over at Anfield.

Ayew left Olympique Marseille at the end of last season to sign for Swansea City and he hit the ground running after winning a the Barclays Premier Player of the month of August and Swansea City's Fans Player of the Month Award as well as best signing of the summer award.

Ayew, who has been nominated on the 59-man list for this year's Ballon d'Or, has scored four goals for Swansea, including impressive strikes against Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham.
