Ghana midfielder Rahim Ayew insists he has not signed for Hearts of Oak despite completing a medical with the Phobians.

The 25-year-old is said to have signed a two-year deal to join the Ghana Premier League giants.

But the eldest son of Ghana legend Abedi Pele is adamant he remains a free agent despite holding advanced talks with Hearts officials and completing a medical.

“I have not signed for any club and I honestly don’t know where these reports that O have signed for Hearts is coming from,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“I am still a free agent and therefore can sign for any club at any point in time.

“But for now I can tell you I have not signed for Hearts.”

Ayew is a free agent following his departure from Belgian club SK Lierse at the end of last season.
